Naka Sushi

I was shopping on a cold night in Albuquerque and sushi sounded good - which it pretty much always does - and this place had good reviews.

Don't ever change, Albuquerque.

I sat at the bar to watch a bowl game on TV but the TV was out of order.

The hot & sour soup was average in every way.

Chile Puffs: Tempura-battered green chiles stuffed with cream cheese & crab.

Too much sauce, but still tasty.

Unfortunately, it was all downhill from here.

I opted for two tempura rolls, because it was cold and I was very hungry.

Plus, I can make my own sushi at home, but I can't make tempura rolls. (I mean, I can, but it's way too much work.)

This was probably a mistake.

The shrimp tempura roll was okay. They used too much fake crabmeat, but I ate the whole thing.

The Golden Spicy Tuna was recommended to me by the waitress as "the best item on the menu."

It was awful. Too much sauce, not enough rice, a weird and mushy texture resembling baby food.

I will never return here.

But at least no one broke into my car.
