Pretty good, for being Walmart's house brand. 

Not as good as the wasabi-blue cheese dip I made. 

Country Bob's Chile Lime Wing Sauce

I think this is new. It should become famous. This is the second-best wing sauce I have ever had out of a bottle. 

Trader Joe's Okonomiyaki

The tuna flakes smell like fish food, but this was still very tasty.

Popeyes Boneless Wings with Pickle Glaze

I cracked my computer screen last Sunday evening. (Hence no posts for three days.)

So I had to go to the Apple Store in ABQ to get it repaired. 

And since I was in ABQ, I went to Popeyes. 

I hope they make this pickle sauce permanent. 

24 Hours at 7000 Feet

Saturday evening, 7:11 PM. 

Sunday morning, 6:55 AM. 

Which I meant I had to go to work to oversee the cleanup.

Albertsons was closed because it was Easter.

The thing about this altitude - and lack of atmosphere - is that when the sun comes out and it's not cold, the snow melts with remarkable speed.

Popeyes Boneless Sweet 'N Smokey Chipotle Wings

 

It's so ridiculous that there isn't a Popeyes or Del Taco in Santa Fe. It's not necessarily the worst thing in the world, as I would probably eat at those two places more than I should - like I used to do in Pasadena. 

Anyway, this was great. As Popeyes always is. 

Joy's Sushi Bar

 

It's attached to Santa Fe Asian Market. 

It was pretty bad. 

I'll give them another try... maybe.

Blonde Beard's Dojo Sriracha & Ginger Asian Wing Sauce

 

Very good. 

I wish it had more ginger, but then again I love ginger so that opinion was inevitable. 

Eff You, Too

Neighbors of mine owned a restaurant in this location years ago that they had to close during the pandemic. (The main feature of the place was a salad bar, which, as you can imagine, quickly became unpopular.) 

It then became a sports bar, the kind of place that makes the 35er look classy, which - believe it or not - failed quickly. 

Yesterday, I took my car to Safelite to get my windshield replaced (a biannual event in these parts) and asked my assistant to pick me up. I bought her Chick-fil-A for breakfast, as she absolutely loves the place, and we sat in the window, when I noticed the new restaurant opening soon. 

FU Sushi. 

I can't wait to try it.

Trader Joe's Sweet Mustard Dill Sauce

I loved this, but then again I love both dill and mustard, and this tastes strongly of both. 

If you love those things, I bet you will love this, too. 

Trader Joe's Shrimp Noodle Rolls

These are really good. 

After pan-frying them to crisp them up a little, I added water - just like I would when making potstickers. 

But the skins are much more delicate than potstickers, and it turns out I used too much water, so half of them kind of fell apart. 

But they still tasted good.
