I went down to Encinitas to visit my high-school friend Zach. His parents were there, a nice surprise, as I had not seen them in many years. We decided to eat lunch at Tower 13, a place I had been twice in the last decade with Zach and his wife.
I had fish tacos that were very good. Zach had a Cuban sandwich that looked great.
Diana had a flatbread pizza with pulled pork. She gave me a slice and I freaking loved it. I wish I had taken a photo.
We all shared a pitcher of their house lager, from Viewpoint Brewing in Del, that hit the spot.
There is something idyllic about lunch on PCH, 100 yards from the beach, 200 yards from the ocean.
I prefer the mountains, as you all know, but this was pretty damn close to perfect.
