It was wonderful to see old friends, and family, and the Pacific Ocean, and eat at my favorite Asian restaurants, and drive around my hometown, past the houses of people I loved who are long gone from this world.
But, for the first time in all the years since I left California, when I got back to New Mexico I truly felt at home.
I do not plan to ever again live outside of the Mountain Time Zone, but I admit things might happen.
But I will never, ever again live anywhere with traffic or smog.
