I had never before been to Manassa. (There is really no reason to go.) But I decided to drive through just for the hell of it.
The entire town is flat as a pancake, despite the fact that it sits at 7700 feet.
Jack Dempsey was born here in 1895. It's hard to imagine a town existing here in 1895 and you begin to question how that could have possibly occurred until you learn that it was founded by Mormon pioneers and you realize that it's better to just shrug and move on.
