LARIAT LODGE LAZO MEXICAN LAGER: 4
Nice flavors, but too sweet.
SANTA FE BREWING COMPANY PEPE LOCO: 5
This weekend at work was the busiest event of the year.
And, to get personal here, for three straight days, I spent several hours each day in close proximity to a woman I once loved very much but was the most toxic relationship of my life.
In other words, this was not an evening to drink bad beers. So I intentionally pulled this one out of the fridge, as I know I love it.
LONE TREE BREWING MEXICAN LAGER: 5
See above.
I have been to Colorado many times in the last five years, as you know, and I have frequently drank this beer. It's freaking good.
FROGTOWN BREWERY SURVEY SAYS: 5
I am not yet halfway through this Summer of Cerveza Sundays, but it's pretty obvious that the best of these beers, on average, are coming out of SoCal.
I can't say this surprises me.
TRUE VINE BREWING COMPANY SALUD! MEXICAN LAGER: 4
I was enjoying it, but then the rains started and the wind blew over my TV, knocking the beer onto my computer.
The computer still works, at least, as I am typing these words on it.
KARBACH BREWING CERVEZA ESPECIAL: 3
Way too sweet. In a blind test, I would guess this was a pilsner, or perhaps a kolsch. Mexican lager would not be in my top 5 guesses. It's made in Houston so maybe those miserable, humid summers cause people to gravitate to sweeter beers. I dunno. Houston sucks.
