Brues Alehouse Brewing Co.

The hotel in which I stayed was a boutique hotel in the old Pueblo police station. It was great and I will write about it in a few days.

In the basement of the hotel, with a patio on the river, is this brewing company. When I decided not to eat at Fuel & Iron, I looked at the menu for this place and saw many things that sounded good and decided to eat here.

When I asked the bartender for a menu, he gave me the above index card with seven items. "We are remodeling out kitchen, so we have a greatly-reduced menu right now," he explained.

Well, damn.

The place was fun, it was packed, it was air-conditioned, and their "Brues Especial Mexican Lager" was delicious. I would have happily stayed here and drank several more beers, eaten dinner, and literally gone upstairs to bed in the police station.

But I needed better menu options, so I only had one beer and left.
