God, I love stepping inside this place on an icy cold autumn or winter evening.
I had the onion rings - the best I have ever had - as usual, as well as the shrimp, cheese, and caramelized corn dip.
I had planned to order French onion soup but called an audible at the last moment and selected the "crispy chicken tenders."
This was a mistake.
They were not bad, but they were regular food-service chicken tenders. Which means fast-food quality.
It's the only thing I have ever eaten here that was merely "blah."
However, though they came with a hot honey for which I did not much care, I requested "some other kind of sauce" and was brought a Carolina-style mustard BBQ sauce that I loved.
And the creme brûlée cheesecake made me forget all about this bad call.
