Four notes:
1) I could not begin to count the number of Minor League games I have attended. This is my first AA game. I have been to Rookie, Single A, High A, and AAA, but never AA.
2) Immediately inside the entrance was a dude selling raffle tickets for an M1 Garand. I have never seen a firearm raffle inside a baseball park, but then again I have never been to a Minor League game in Texas. (And yes, I bought three tickets.)
3) The Rockhounds were the AA team of the Angels for most of my childhood - they were called the Midland Angels then - but I have no memory of that. (Though I did not start caring about Minor League baseball until I was into my 20s.)
4) It was close to 100º, I was drunk, and I did not care about either team, so I left in the 6th inning, which is the earliest I have ever left a Minor League game.
